It gives the following explanation with illustration: 1.To clean, remove vent cover and wipe clean with damp cloth or wash in warm soapy water. Do not use metal scouring pads or harsh cleansers. 2.Lift filter and turn slightly to remove. They can be cleaned in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher. 3. Be sure fan is turned OFF. Wipe the vent box with a damp cloth to clean. Spills should be sponged out. 4. Install filters, being sure they are angled over the exhaust fan and touching at the center. Amanda January 03, 2015 for Model Number SC8900ex Hello my manual says my cooktop vent filter part number is 786235, which matches what you list here. however I measure the size to be 5 3/4 by 15 3/4. My size seems to be different from yours. Am I missing something? Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
