1 Answer Hello Mary, please verify you are getting 240v to the unit, the unit can run on 120v just not heat. First thing you will want to check is all the venting duct for the exhaust vent. The dryer has to be able to breath in order to get rid of the moisture properly. Next, you can make sure the heating element is not shorted and make sure all the thermostat are okay. You can use a multi meter MA-DM1, Here is a link you can refer to for help with using a multi meter: http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html . Charles March 11, 2011 for Model Number LER6620PTO My dryer is taking longer to dry. Is there a way to check if the heating element is bad, or if it is just the heating element wires that are bad?
1 Answer Hello Charles. First check and make sure there are no cloggs in your venting system. You can test the heater with a multi-meter. It should read closed for continuity. You can also check your thermostats the same way. Hope this helps. Read More...
