Marc January 26, 2012 for Model Number ed5thaxm500 Does the hinge cause the door to close when it is partially closed? The door would close by itself as I pushed to close it, now I have to close it manually all the way to make sure it's shut. I'm assuming there is some type of spring load in the hinge. Please advise. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Mark. No, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the door cams 4318165 are bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...

Debbie July 16, 2011 for Model Number Ksrb25fkss03 My refrigerator door won't close properly, when you close the door it bounces back open. You have to press it tightly to make sure is closed. If you open the freezer door and close it, the other side will open. It doesn't have any suction, however the rubber seems fine.
1 Answer Hi Debbie. Are your hinges free and working good? Make sure there is not any stuck open bins or food hanging out to hold the doors open. Some people tilt the unit sightly back so the doors fall naturally shut. Is your unit level? Units are sealed so well that they will normally act this way . If we can assist further, please let us know. Thank you,. Read More...
Mark July 11, 2011 for Model Number SS25HFXLS00 There is a white plastic 'bushing' that broke, along with the upper door hinge itself. The bushing looks like it inserts in the door and the hinge's pin inserts into the bushing. I plan to order the hinge with a pin, part AP3085157. Does this come with the plastic white bushing or do I have to order that separately? (I know that this is the first question listed here, but there was no further response from the consumer to clarify the issue.)
1 Answer Hello Mark! It looks like the manufacturer is not offering this part separate from the door assemblies. You would have to purchase the door to obtain this part. The refrigerator door is part number L2220367SB and the freezer door is part number L2255506S. The freezer door has been discontinued with no replacements. Thanks! Read More...
Dave May 01, 2011 for Model Number 106.55612400 I haven't taken it apart yet, but my side by side fridge door seems to have destroyed a plastic bushing that is around the hinge pin which is causing the door to lean. Whirlpool part number 2203771 is the hinge, but I don't see any reference to the bushing here or on the parts diagram. Do you know what part the busing would be?
1 Answer Hello Dave! The 2203771, our part number WP2203771, is the upper right hinge for the refrigerator door. Is this where the peice is that has broken? From the diagrams available, there does not seem to be another peice in that area. Please verify, also providing color of the part, etc. Thanks! Read More...
