Lance October 06, 2021 for Model Number WFW8400TW02 My WFW8400TW02 washer shuts off by itself right before the draining or spinning process of a cycle. The cycle finishes when there are no clothes in the washer. The error code F20 is shown even though the pump filter was cleaned. The pump has a loud noise when draining. What is the problem with the washer? Thank you and have a nice day.
1 Answer Lance, The F20 error is detecting a possible pressure switch fault. Including water valves in no water is entering or pressure hose possible pinhole. Even check the connector on the pressure switch itself and the control where the pressure switch harness plugs into. You should have a tech sheet with your unit that gives you testing info on that specific error code. Read More...
Carol December 05, 2016 for Model Number mhwz600tw00 we replaced the tub to pump hose and followed directions from your video which was great---except after 2 adjustments with the upper large clamp it still leaks on the back side of large tub to drain. About 1/4 cup leaks out during the max spin only. Any suggestions what we may be doing wrong?
1 Answer Hello Carol. You need to check and see if the hose is bad or if the tub is bad on the unit. Also, make sure your seating the hose properly. Read More...
James November 24, 2014 for Model Number YWFW9050XW00 Is there supposed to be grease or oil next to the pump motor? I recently took my pump apart and there was water and grease inside of the impeller. I emptied it out because I thought it was just water, but I noticed that there was oil or grease in the water also.
1 Answer Hello James. No, if there is water inside the housing, you will need to replace the drain pump on the unit. Read More...

Kg April 10, 2014 for Model Number wfw9050xw00 Should there be water in the tub to pump hose after it runs a cycle? I have cleaned the trap and cleared all hoses, but water still remains. I have even run a drain cycle to no avail.

David October 19, 2013 for Model Number NFW7300WW00 My washer is leaking water from the bottom around the Hose to Pump hose part number 8540012. Upon closer inspection the hose has 5 very small pin holes in the ribbing area of the hose. Should these be there? I just figure if they do not belong there, how did they get there? v/r David Webb
1 Answer Hello David, You should remove the hose and look inside for debris. The only thing inside it should be a plastic ball which protects the pump impeller from debris. Holes should not be in this part. If there are, it will require replacement. As far as what caused the holes, this would be either debris in the hose or wear from the tub bouncing around excessively. Allen April 07, 2013 for Model Number wfw8300sw01 How do you clean the drain from the washer drain to the pump? When the pump runs the bellows collapses!
1 Answer Hello Allen, Remove the bottom front panel by removing the three screws across the bottom of this panel and the hose from the outer tub to the pump will have to be removed. Although you may have to remove the ball, It must be re-installed to protect the pump. Also, while you have the hose off of the outer tub, you should check up inside the hole for garments, (just in case). You can do this with an inspection mirror and a flashlight. Read More...
James July 28, 2012 for Model Number 11047512600 When I replaced the pump, the pump was off for 2 days and I had a grease like substance drain out of the large hose. Is that part of the ball in the hose or what?
1 Answer James, No, the grease substance would not be from the check ball in the tub to pump drain hose. The substance is most likely a accumulation of softner, body oils, and chemicals, in the bottom of the tub and hose. You may want to clean the washer tubs using W10549845 Affresh Washer Cleaner, to reduce or eliminate the build up. Thanks Read More...
1 Answer Hi Cheryl. The tub has a drain hole at the 6;00 position. It has a sump hose that connects from there to the pump intake. It is part # W11366249. Make sure it is clear. Then you need to clean the pump and make sure the drain hose is not clogged also. The pump is part # WPW10730972. If the impellor is loose on the shaft of the pump , you will need to replace the pump. Thank You. Read More...
