Sargent Tx July 12, 2016 for Model Number Ice Maker 4317943 I have replaced my Ice Maker unit model Whirlpool 4317943, however no water is entering the unit? Water line is clear, Should I replace the Water Inlet Valve? What is the valve replacement item number? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Sargent. As long as the temp is 0 to 5° then the valve will need to be replaced. We will need your model number to determine which valve you need to order. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
John July 09, 2016 for Model Number 59669312010 have a Kenmore refrigerator model 59669312010 and was told that the icemaker assembly part number 1129316 is the one that I need but the model is not listed on the compatibility list?
1 Answer John, Being an accessory for your refrigerator, we wouldn't expect to see it on the compatibility chart. The 1129316 "Add On" ice maker is a more "universal" assembly and is used on various types and refrigerator configurations. The 4396418 is designed, more specifically for the "bottom mount" style refrigerator by the manufacturer of your refrigerator. Either one should work in your machine. Both paerts are in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More...
Tim C July 06, 2016 for Model Number Whirlpool refrig/freezer (on top) Model: ET18PKXSN02 Could you please tell me the proper replacement part for this units ice maker? This refrig/freezer came with the house and is very old. I would guess > 20 to 25 years old. Is there a way to determine what year this unit was manufactured? Thanks
Richard May 22, 2016 for Model Number MSD2456DE My ice maker dumped its cubes and when refilling the water keeps running and running spilling all over the floor, I raised the bail arm and the water stopped, I believe the ice maker is at fault but I'm not sure. If that is the case the replacement # I found is AP4135008, also listed is a complete kit #AP3062348 which is a lower price will this also fit. Thanks Richard

J December 15, 2014 for Model Number ET21GKXHW00 My ice maker isn't making ice. It slowly made ice and now I have zero ice in bucket. The fill tube is completely clear but I am not getting water to ice maker. I have good pressure going into valve. Supply tube is clear of debris. I ran the ice maker through a harvest cycle and received 118VAC to water inlet valve. I performed continuity test on the valve and received ~174 ohms. I could not locate ohm rating on valve. Since the valve reads below 200 ohms, would it be best to replace the valve? Would it recommended to replace ice maker and water inlet valve together?
1 Answer Hello J. Test for power from the icemaker to the valve. If there, replace the valve. If not, replace the icemaker. You can only find the voltage during a harvest cycle. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
