1 Answer Hello Joey, thanks for contacting AppliancePartsPros.com If you are referring to the in-door ice maker W11557000 the removal process is as follows: 1. Remove the ice bucket. 2. Depress the plastic tabs on the bottom left and right sides of the ice maker and slide out. 3. Disconnect the wiring connector and remove the ice maker. 4. Disconnect the ice maker fill tube (blue) clasp under the left hinge cap. 5. Use pliers to pull fill tube and heater from top of the ice maker housing. NOTE: Attach a string to the clasp end of the fill-tube to aid in fishing through the new fill tube. If you are referring to the ice maker D7824706Q that came with some models in the freezer: 1. Remove the 1/4” screw mounting the ice maker to the top liner. 2. Slide the Ice Maker forward to disengage from the plastic posts in the top of the liner. 3. Disconnect the wiring connector and remove the ice maker. You can always contact our customer service team directly at 1-877-477-7278. Stan Lee May 13, 2023 for Model Number KRFC604FSS01 My Kitchen Aid refrigerator is about 8 years old. Lately the icemaker will occasionally stop working. If I turn it off for a half hour and then turn it back on it will work for a few days and then become unresponsive again. Time for a new icemaker?
1 Answer Stan, With the icemaker working after a reset, it would be more likely that there is something else causing this issue. Check the temperature in the freezer to ensure that it is between 0 and 5 degrees at the time the icemaker is not working. Read More...
