Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Range Oven Igniter (Part Number: OEM18034056)

1 Answer

Hello kkkfkiofpppkigjfl. You will need to test the gas valve for 3.0 to 3.4 volts AC with the igniter turned on. If the proper voltage is there, you will need to replace the gas valve 12002604. If the voltage is low, the igniter is weak, and you will need to replace the igniter WP7432P136-60. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
