Woody September 18, 2021 for Model Number KAWE450VWHO The knob on my washer came off. The replacement knobs are threaded, but my machine has a splined shaft, not threaded. The machine is all original. Do you know the part# for the correct knob for my machine?
1 Answer Woody, Thanks for the question!!! According to the manufacturer, your model number uses W10801656. If that does not work you may need to contact the manufacturer. Read More...
Kevin July 05, 2017 for Model Number Kitchen aid. Kawe550v I have ordered a replacement control panel knob but it has a metal insert on the female opening that does fit the stem. Where can I get a replacement without the metal insert or if I can't get one what do I have to replace. It is an old washer but it still works. Thanks
1 Answer Kevin, This knob is a screw on type knob and is supposed to have the insert in it. You will want to make sure that when the old knob broke that the sleeve from the old knob is off the shaft of the timer. Read More...
Pj December 13, 2016 for Model Number LA8800XTW0 Timer knob just spins and no longer turns the dial to set cycle and time. ( It will start/stop washer though pushing in/pulling up). I can set cycle by manually pressure turning the timer without using knob. There is the knob itself and a round flat larger piece behind it that sits inside the top of the timer that also just spins. Is that part of the knob? The timer seems to work fine. Do I just need the knob?
1 Answer Pj, This issue would most likely just be the knob that is the issue and would need part number W10801656. Read More...
Durk September 15, 2016 for Model Number LA9500XTN0 My timer knob broke, but the so called replacement knobs lack the longer shaft and don't function unless extreme pressure is applied to rotate the timer. The part number on the old is 3352603. Whirlpool sends out one that is flush, not protracted (no shaft).
1 Answer Durk, Unfortunately this knob is the direct replacement part according to the manufacturer. We would not have any other information on it. Read More...
Carolyn June 11, 2016 for Model Number LA8800XTW1 The cycle control knob broke off my Whirl pool washing machine, the shaft part of the broken off knob is still attached to the washing machine, can the shaft be popped off and anew knob be put on easily by me
1 Answer Hello Carolyn, Disconnect the power from the machine before beginning dis-assembly. The two screws below the control panel at each end will need to be removed and the control panel will pull forward and flip up to access the components, (the unit may need to be pulled away from the wall a bit to allow timer access. The timer 3356057 will be held in place by 1/4" hex headed screws, (one or more depending on the model). The old knob W10801656 and dial WP64138 can be re-used if the shaft can be removed from the old one. I'm sorry but the timer 3356057 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. This is not a serviceable part so no parts, (like the knob shaft), are available. Read More...
