The Knob is an OEM part for Whirlpool cooktops. It allows you to control various settings such as temperature, cooking mode, and timer functions by turning the corresponding knobs on the control panel. With a stem length of 3/8", this control knob is designed for ease of use and a secure fit.

Over time, the knob can become worn or damaged due to frequent use, accidental impacts, or exposure to heat. If the knob breaks or becomes loose, it can make it difficult or impossible to adjust the oven or range settings accurately.

Symptoms of a bad knob include:

  • The knob becoming loose or wobbly
  • Cracks or breaks in the knob
  • Difficulty in turning the knob or it not engaging properly with the control shaft
  • Inability to control the cooktop settings

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Knob (Part Number: OEM18069912)

Donald

I have a whirlpool gas range top with these crappy plastic knobs, part number-w10594481, we've lived in this new house for less than a year and every one of them have cracked. Now I'm supposed to pay more than 30 dollars for new ones. I would pay fifty dollars a piece if I could get knobs that weren't so cheaply made. Is there another solution? Thin pieces of plastic aren't meant to hold up to twisting metal. When will manufacturers realize that people will pay more for something that lasts instead of taking a nice gas range top and ruining it with these crappy knobs.

Sorry your having an issue with the knobs Donald. There is no other knobs listed for your model. One ting to make sure is on some stoves, the shafts of the switches need to be pressed in, then turned. If yours is like that and they do not get pressed in, then the knob will crack easily. Thanks again.
