Amdel, The 8053620/74004494 LIMITER (8" & DUAL) is no longer available from the manufacturer. You will need to order the W10823703/71003634 ELEMENT (DUAL-W/LIMITER)(RF) to repair the range. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks,

Arnold, You will want to check to see if there is 240 vac getting to the element. If there is not power to the element then most likely the control board has failed and would need to be replaced.

Robert, If th left front burner indicator light on the control panel stays on, you will need the left front infinite switch WP9751362 / 9751362. If the hot surface light on the cooktop surface is staying on, then you will need the left front element WP8203528 / 8053605. Either part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks

Randy, The limiter for the element has been discontinued as a separate part. The only way to get the limiter would be to get the element which is part number W10823708.

Hello Fred, It sounds like the outer element on the burner has burnt out and element W10823703 will need to be replace. You can check this by using a flashlight and shining into element and look for black burn marks on the outer element.

Bob, Power and the burner cycling is controlled through the "Infinite Switch(s)" WP7403P239-60 and WP7403P238-60. The limiter should actually "open" and eliminate power to the element, when or if there's an overheat situation. You most likely have a weak circuit in the cycling circuit of the switch(s) and it "sticks" "closed" so you get a "high" heat result. Thanks

Hi John. You need to use a flashlight and look down into the top of the burner to see if the ribbon/element has opened. Part # W10823698. You need to use the wiring diagram found behind the control panel or after you remove the storage drawer. It will be folded in a packet mounted inside the drawer back or frame rails. Use the volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1. Make sure you have 240 vac on the L1 and L2 inputs. And H-1 to H-2 with the switch closed w/power. Infinite sw. part # WP3148952. You will access the burner from removing the front underside corner screws and lift and support the underside of the glass. Make sure you use the same # holes when replacing the burner so it will align centered under the glass top. Thank You.

Hello Andy, you will more than likely have a defective limiter. Unfortunately they do not sell this part separate from the burner anymore. If you need a 6" burner you will order part number W10823704, for 8" you will order W10823707. You can make sure it's the limiter by disconnecting terminals A1 and B1. Either one will cause the light to go off and if you connect it back up on. Hope this helps!
