Rocky January 24, 2017 for Model Number maytag 512s Started removing this locking screw (22001819) only to have it break off one thread past the head of the screw. There is nothing to grab hold of to remove the remaining, and certainly do not see how I could see to properly work an extractor without destroying the hole. What would you suggest?
1 Answer Hello Rocky. Only option you have is to drill out the screw and try not to damage the threads. Read More...
Tracy January 07, 2013 for Model Number LAT9706AAE I removed the screw to clean the interior of the agitator. I've done several loads since then, but yesterday the washer made an awful sound and I found that the agitator had come loose. I will have to order a new screw, but did I miss a hole on the stem where it should line up or was the screw just not tight enough?
1 Answer Hello Tracy. Try re-installing the agitator into the unit and see if it stays. If not, you will need to order and replace the agitator in the unit. Read More...
