William December 03, 2016 for Model Number WTW7300XW2 washer works until the first drain. then just buzzes. till it goes into default code of LD, can't turn off hit stop button. and all led's light up around select knob. only way I can get it to continue is two pull plug. wait a minute. plug in. then it either works and goes into drain cycle. or buzzes again. do this two or three times and it works thru the rest of the cycle. also noticed when it acts up can't put in to drain and spin. or rinse and spin. other wise machine works fine. any ideas. sounds like a selnoid valve buzzing when it does start to go into drain. ????
1 Answer Hello William. You will need to check and see if the drain pump is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Also, make sure there are no clogs in the drain system. Read More...
Justine H July 28, 2015 for Model Number WTW7300XW2 At first I was getting an error code ld when the cycle was about 1/2 finished. A few times I could get drain/spin to finish the load. Now when I turn the machine on it won't do anything. It will light up but I cannot even shut it off without unplugging the cord and then pushing on the power button
1 Answer Justine, Based on not being able to shut the unit off and the drain part not working will most likely be caused by a faulty control board WPW10372179. Read More...
Don March 14, 2015 for Model Number WTW7600XW2 My Whirlpool Cabrio, while using the "Towels" cycle goes into an Ld alarm and stops running before doing spin and rinse cycles. I re-adjust the load and it still won't continue the cycles, it just beeps, won't shut off either. It has to be unplugged to reset. I then have to remove items from tub and remove water by hand. I runs "Rinse/Drain?Spin" (without items in tub) and "Clean Washer" cycles OK, but doesn't seem to want to do anything else.
1 Answer Hello Don, Check the door switch first. If it checks out good, pull the tech sheet and run the diagnostics to see if the machines' control is storing any fault codes. Read More...
Amy November 06, 2014 for Model Number WTW7340XW2 No power on. Buttons have been unresponsive at times. Now there is nothing. No lights or beeps or anything. How do I know which control thing to purchase? There is the control panel and the control board. Is this something I can do myself relatively easily?
1 Answer Hello Amy. It sounds like the console WPW10211352 is bad. If there is power to the board, and none of the buttons are working, you will need to replace the console. These are not hard to replace. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
