Bill, Run the machine diagnostics if possible. Check for additional fault/error codes. The error F6E1 means there is a communication error between the CCU and the MCU. Check door switch operation. A faulty switch may interfere with the power to the MCU. • Check the drive system for worn or faulty components .• Verify continuity in cable between CCU (MI3 & MS2) and MCU. See the wiring diagram.

Rebekah for Model Number MHW6000XG2

My washing machine recent had a loud end spin cycle and then spit out the error code F09 E03. After sitting for a couple days, it powered on. I selected a cycle, but when it tried to run, it just clicked a few times and locked the door. Maytag man came out to tell me what was wrong and how to repair it. Instead, he told me he isn't sure exactly what is wrong. It could be the motor control board or two other electronic components. What is your best guess on what is wrong with my washing machine?

Rebekah, Based on the information provided if there is no water or suds causing a long drain issue then it is likely to be the main control board. W10427972

Kirk, this error is going to indicate a communication failure from the central control W10427972 to the user control W10604648 (unfortunately, the user control has been discontinued and is no longer available). The wires running from the central control to the user control would need to be checked for any loose connection and damaged sections. If the user interface is responsive, a voltage test would need to be done at the central control connection U17 while the unit is turned on. From pin 3 (black meter probe) to pin 2 (red meter probe), there should be a 12VDC supply. If voltage is present, replace the user control.
