Nick July 02, 2020 for Model Number WFW95HEXW2 Whirlpool model# WFW95HEXW2 powers up door locks and nothing further, no water dispensing or motor movement. Displays error code F01 E02 tried unplugging, didnt fix. I was wondering if Motor Control Board is the culprit Part Number: AP6020609 Kind Regards
1 Answer Nick Check the wiring between the main control board and the Motor control board. If the wiring checks ok then the issue will be a faulty motor control unit. Read More...
Derrick March 13, 2020 for Model Number wfw94he Could a blocked drain plug cause the MCU WPW10374126 to burn out?
1 Answer Hello Derrick, The part you are asking about is the motor control board WPW10374126. It will have nothing to do with draining so a blocked drain cannot affect this board. Read More...
Alain July 09, 2018 for Model Number WFW94HEXL0 I receive a code F06 E02 and I open the MCU and found it burned in few place. My question is, should I be looking for other issues before ordering the parts? I fear the new board will die on a restart. Thanks,
1 Answer Hello Alain, you'll want to make sure the harness connections are good. If everything checks out, then more than likely the board would be the only defective part. Thanks! Read More...
Barry October 08, 2017 for Model Number WFW94HEXW1 I am receiving error code F06 E01 on my whirlpool duet front load washer. Most research leads me to believe that its the MCU but I hate to just start throwing parts at the machine as these control boards are quite expensive. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
1 Answer Hello Barry. Communication issue between the CCU and the MCU. Possible Causes • Check door switch operation. Faulty switch may interfere with power to MCU. • Check drive system for worn or faulty components. • Verify continuity in cable between CCU (MI3 & MS2) and MCU. Read More...
Bob I April 23, 2017 for Model Number IFW7200TW My machine is about 8-10 yrs old . All works proper until the high RPM part of the spin cycle . Lots like it wants to go , but then changes it`s mind. Finishes threw cycle and chimes that load is done, but clothes are still fairly wet. Also , I haven`t seen any codes , at what point would they show for such a problem , and how long do they stay on ? Research, left me believing it was likely the door switch , but just not sure. hope you can help.
1 Answer Bob, In most cases when the unit will not reach a high speed spin then it would be that the spin enable switch in the door lock is faulty and the door lock would need replaced. Read More...
Ryan January 23, 2017 for Model Number MHW6000XW2 My Maytag washer stopped during spin cycle, and looks to have not drain completely. It was flashing codes F06/E02 and the door would not unlock, would just flash door lock. After loads of research, I opened the front panel to clean out the drain catch and tried again with no luck. Noticing a lot of people refer to the MCU for the fix, but wondering if it could be the CCU. Don't want to spend almost 300 on a part that doesn't fix the problem. The operation of the MCU is for direction of the drum and what not, and the CCU operates the drain, fill, ect. What part do you think needs replaced with said problems/codes?
1 Answer Ryan, This issue would be more likely in the CCU and not at all in the MCU. The F6 E2 is a communication error between the CCU and User interface. Verify continuity in the cables between CCU (U17) and User Interface (C2). If this checks ok then the CCU will be the most likely cause for the error. Read More...

Ronica November 07, 2016 for Model Number MHW6000XG1 I AM GETTING ERROR CODE F01 AND E 02 ON MY MAYTAG MAXIMA WASHER - DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA IF THIS IS ACTUALLY THE MOTOR CONTROL UNIT OR COULD IT BE SOMETHING ELSE. TRY TO RESEARCH THIS AND FROM WHAT I HAVE READ THE MOTOR CONTROL UNIT SEEMS THE MOST LIKELY CAUSE????
1 Answer Hello Ronica. Motor Control Unit (MCU) has an internal malfunction, repeating under or over voltage, or over current conditions. Can also be caused by momentary loss of neutral feed to MCU during the spin cycle. If the error occurs during a high-speed spin, the door will remain locked for 3 minutes. Read More...
Anna October 11, 2016 for Model Number WFW94HEXW2 Hi there! I purchased the motor control board for my washer that was receiving error codes F06 E01. It works now!! However, when I run a diagnostic, it still gives those codes. Does this mean that there is still something wrong with my washer? Thank you so much!
