Robert August 15, 2011 for Model Number MAH5500BWW I was asking about a question about the drive pully on the motor. Could it have moved up the shaft closer to the motor or is it unable to move. I know that I had mentioned that the bely keeps wanting to ride to the inside and has started to damage the bottom of the tub, But its not that bad yet to where I think the tub needs to be replaced. It is not leaking and doesn't seem to be to damaged that bad yet. But when I put the belt on again it goes right back to the inside of the tub spindle. Like the motor and tub are not lined up straight anymore.
1 Answer Hello Robert. No, the pulley did not move. The bearings are bad and that is what is causing the problem your having. You will need the outer tub to get the bearings and seals. They do not offer them separately. Hope this helps. Read More...
Robert August 15, 2011 for Model Number MAH5500BWW My drive belt has come off. But is still intact. When I tried to put it back on I noticed that it keeps wanting to ride to the inside and has even started cutting into the back of the tub. I wa looking at the picture of the new motor and it shows that the pully assembly is all the way at the end of the staff on the motor. But mine isn't. Can that piece have moved?
1 Answer Hello Robert. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the bearing and seal is bad and will need to be replaced. You will need to order the outer tub assembly 22004465 to repair the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...

Bgdadd April 02, 2011 for Model Number MAH5500BWW Recently, our washer has gotten extremely loud while spinning to drain water from the tub. The motor has a slight growling noise even when it is running through a wash cycle. I was able to hear it even better using a wooden dowl as like a stethiscope. Could the loud noise we hear as the water is draining be that the motor is going bad? Or should I be looking somewhere else for the problem?
1 Answer Hello Bgdadd. You will need to check and see if the tub bearings are going bad. Hope this helps. Read More...
1 Answer It depends on how the machine is set. This is a variable speed motor, so it will vary. Read More...
