Jt for Model Number Kudm25shbl1

I see others have had the same problem as I am having with the angled shaft of the spray arm mount 8539324. However, I have yet to hear or find a solution or an alternative part number. Description of 8539324 says "Shaft is angled to match the bottom side of rack and mounts directly to the rack" but the bottom of my rack is flat, not angled, and therefore does not require an angled shaft. Original part 9742994 was NOT angled. I see one answer for Joe M with same problem says "Joe, You would want to replace the mount assembly for the upper spray arm to correct the spray arm from hitting the rack." but what is the part number for a spray arm mount/mount assembly with a straight shaft? Please help, thank you.

JT, Based on previous orders of this part, it does show to be the correct part for the unit. You will want to check the installation of the part to ensure that you have it in place properly. We have no other information on the part other than this.

Terry for Model Number whirlpool

I just received the new part. As I see it (correct me if i'm wrong please), the old part was held in place with a screw and cap mounted topside of the rack. The new one holds itself by snapping onto the rack underside. This is all good except the angle of the spout (underside) veers to the left so it mounts the spray arm at an angle. I tried snapping it into place at 90 degrees but due to the rack design that can't work. Is this how it's supposed to be? Thanks in advance

Hi Terry. Suggested model # GU940SCGB2, Mount Assembly for Upper Spray Arm - PLEASE NOTE: Shaft is angled to match the bottom side of rack and mounts directly to the rack. On older design models the upper mount part number WP8268812 will no longer be used. Item Number: WP8539324 . Thank You.
