Kc December 29, 2013 for Model Number kbra22klbl01 The start relay on my bottom-freezer fridge buzzes, then I hear a motor sound come on, however cool air is blowing in the fridge, not cold air. What is the most likely cause?
1 Answer KC, If the unit is not cooling at all then you will want to pull the unit out and check to make sure that the compressor is running and that the condenser fan is running. If the compressor is not running then would most likely need a new start relay. If the condenser fan is not running then check for power to the fan and if there is power then and not running then replace the fan. Read More...
Don December 01, 2013 for Model Number KBLA22KLSS01 My KitchenAid fridge and freezer are not cooling. Unplugged it for 45 minutes and got everything running. The fan and compressor are now running. The compressor is warm but not hot, maybe 110 - 115 degrees. No noticeable sounds. Could it be something other than a sealed system problem?
1 Answer Hello Don. No, if the compressor is running, and not cooling, it is a sealed system issue with the unit. Read More...
Dan B. August 23, 2013 for Model Number PDS21SBMABS I need a new relay for my GE Profile refrigerator. Unfortunately, GE must think that a refrigerator 10 years old needs to be replaced and they stop making the relay. There has to be an equivalent or a way I can use another relay and make it work. The part number of the relay is WR08X10031. I have seen WR08X10031 WPL which apparently is for a Whirlpool. Are they interchangeable? Or do you have another suggestion?
1 Answer Hello Dan! Unfortunately, the overload/relay WR08X10031 listed for your model has been discontinued with no further replacements or cross references available and our company is unaware of any other available sources. Sorry about that! Read More...
