Cephas April 12, 2021 for Model Number MDB5600AWB The control panel handle is cracked making it difficult to open the dishwasher. Where can I get a replacement? Thanks! April 12, 2021
1 Answer Cephas, the door latch assembly WPW10130695 includes the press handle for the model provided. However, for the facia panel 6-917707 portion where the press handle mounts, as it has been discontinued, we would not know where one could be obtained. Read More...
Cheryl M. March 14, 2016 for Model Number MDB58600AWB I can choose the setting (heavy, normal, light, etc) and it lights up, but when I push start, nothing happens. Do I need a new control panel?
1 Answer Hello Cheryl, You should run the diagnostics to determine the issue. If it will not go into diagnostics, you will need to replace the control 12002709. This part will only work if the serial number begins with 19 or higher. If the serial number begins with 18 or lower, I'm sorry but this part 99003160 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. Read More...

Dan May 15, 2013 for Model Number MDB5600AWB Had the ground wire to my house break from some tree branch resting on caused many different appliances to short out. Dishwasher does not turn on at all shows no sign of power on control panel. Do you think it may be the control panel that went bad and or possibly door switch. Is there any fuses that I am not aware of in the appliance that may need replacing. Any suggestions on how to test to see why it is not working Thank you in advance
1 Answer Dan, You will want to check to make sure that you are getting 120 vac to the power supply on the unit. If you are getting 120 vac at the junction box then you will need to check to make sure that you are getting 120 vac at the control board. If there is power then you would need to replace the control board. If not then check wiring from the main supply back to the control board. Read More...

Sean March 26, 2012 for Model Number mdb5600awb I have a blinking green light on front panel, all other buttons locked out
1 Answer Hello Sean, The clean light blinking 7 times is a fault code for the water heating circuit on board the unit. If the control doesn't see a predetermined increase of temperature in a set amount of time, the code will flash. First off, be sure you always run the hot water at the sink before starting a cycle to shorten the wash cycle. The most probable cause of this fault code is the heating element going open. Other possible causes are the door switch, the control board, the door switch, and the wiring harness. Of course the first thing I would recommend is to visually inspect the heating element Heating element kit- This dishwasher heating element is for stainless steel tubs only. Includes a new computer board that needs to be replaced along with the element. For plastic tubs use W10518394. Part Number: 8194200 for stainless steel tub. If it has burned in to of course it will need replacement. If there is a white place, or much lighter place present it will need to be tested to ensure your not replacing a good part. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html . The wiring diagram should be found behind the kick panel and will guide you to the fore-mentioned components which you may need to test. After repair you will also have to place the unit into the diagnostic mode to reset the control so it can run through cycles again. This procedure is as follows: On the control panel....heated dry, normal, heated dry, normal - OR - High temp, air dry, high temp, air dry. These keys must be pressed within 10 seconds to set the control into diagnostics. At this point you can allow it to go all the way through the self-diagnostic cycle or you can press cancel.
