Had the white Whirlpool Quiet Partner II dishwasher installed a few years ago and they said the access panel and toe kick panel didn't fit (either because because the counter was a little low and/or the parts protruded out). Part #5 is AP 6036192 and is called the Access Panel Black. The diagram states I need the Part #8 which is AP6035974 which is supposed to be the Toe Panel. However, the description states that the toe panel is no longer used and is replaced by the Access Panel Kit?. Isn’t that the same think as part #5. They look very similar. So do I need both parts or just #5 or # 8? They have the same name and the toe Panel is no longer used. Sorry I’m confused. Thanks.
1 Answer Jadelcsr, Based on the model you provided and looking at the parts breakdown the number 5 is the access panel and the number 8 is the toe panel which goes in behind the lower part of the access panel and acts as an extension in case the access panel does reach all the way to the floor (so there is no gap). Devon September 03, 2017 for Model Number GU3600XTVY2, whirlpool dishwasher When our kitchen floor needed to be replaced, apparently the dishwasher panel and kick plate were tossed (we were unaware) and molding was run along the front of the machine instead. (Totally stupid.) We recently had competent cabinet professionals redo the work around the dishwasher and need to replace the pieces that were tossed.
