This user interface is the electronic control PCB that manages mid- and high-speed functions and touch/button inputs on compatible washers. It restores responsive controls and reliable command communication between the console and the main control. What it does:

  • Receives and processes button or touch inputs from the console so cycles and options can be selected.
  • Sends control signals to the main board and motors to engage mid/high-speed functions.
  • Helps resolve unresponsive or intermittent console buttons, erratic cycle selection, or loss of control communication.
  • Works as the interface layer between the user controls and the appliance's control system.
What's included:
  • One user interface (mid/high control PCB) as shown
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing to avoid electric shock or damage to electronics.
  • Handle the PCB by edges and avoid touching components or connector pins to prevent static damage.
  • Verify connector alignment and seat firmly; do not force connectors or bend pins.

Hello Tony, We will need the model number from the units' I.D. tag for a specific diagnosis but it still sounds like you need to pull the fault codes from the diagnostic mode. The tech sheet will fully explain this procedure. It should be in a plastic ziplock bag adhered to the inside of the front panel of the cabinet, accessed by raising the main top.

After I got this washer, the control board failed and was replaced on warranty. Now that one seems to be failing. It fills (on "normal"), starts to wash for a short time, but then it stops and drains and shows the overload code. However, it isn't overloaded. I've tried it with practically no load and it still does it. After that happens I have to restart it again on the rinse/spin cycle, and it again goes to overload after it fills and runs for a short time. Finally I have to restart again it on drain/spin to get the clothes spun out and somewhat cleaner. If this is a problem with the main control board it doesn't say much for Whirlpool's quality control. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you, Pete

Hello Pete. You can also get this from a Mechanical friction on drive mechanism, not allowing the basket to disengage. You need to check for articles of clothing between the inner and outer baskets. Bad bearings will also cause this.

I have a whirlpool cabrio washing machine that i had stored in a storage unit for a year and was exposed to extreme heat and cold. Now i am trying to use it again and it is going through the wash cycle fine and draining the water out fine but when it tries to go into rinse cycle it doesnt do anything for a while and then throws up an "LD" error. i have tried unplugging it and replaceing the pump and that hasnt helped. Im almost sure its one of the control boards but not sure if it the green or gray one. If you could give me some advise I would appreciate it. thank you

Drew, The "LD" or F32 error code, indicates > Long Drain > Ld flashes when the water level does not change after the drain pump is on. ? Is the drain hose or the drain pump clogged ? Is the drain hose height greater than 96" ? ? Is the pressure hose connection from the tub to the machine/motor control pinched or plugged?? Is the pump running? You will need to roll over the control panel, carefully disconnect the clear plastic air tube and blow in it to check and make sure it's not clogged with debris or deposits, from setting so long. Here's some help," 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Remove the three hex-head mounting screws from the rear of the console.3. Lift the console off the cabinet, and roll it forward." Good Luck and Thanks

Santana, What is displayed on the control panel, when you have to reset the washer ? If there are no fail codes displayed, and you're sure you have at least 110 VAC to the washer, when it is running, you want to consider the control board WPW10189966. You should find the Technical Data Sheet attached to the inside of the front panel (after you raise the washer top panel) and you ran conduct the control tests. That way you'll have a better idea of the problem. Good Luck.
