Jeana May 15, 2023 for Model Number WDF520PADB6 There are a couple of seals/o rings on the pump, are these replaceable without getting the entire pump?
Keith May 15, 2023 The pump is still pumping out water at this time, but making a loud squealing noise.. should I go ahead and replace?
1 Answer Keith, take the pump off and see if there is something that is stuck in the pump causing the noise, if not replace the pump. Read More...
Crystal May 15, 2023 for Model Number wdf520padw6 Can I open up the drain pump to clean internally to see if this will work prior to replacing?
1 Answer Crystal, Yes, just remove the drain pump and check the sump area for any debris blocking the impeller of the drain pump. Read More...
Luk April 06, 2022 for Model Number WDTA50SAHZ0 dishwasher is not draining at end of wash cycle. I did all the usual checks of filter, no blockage of drain pump and drain hose. initially I was able to turn on manual drain but then that stopped working after 3 or 4 times. Here is everything i have checked beyond the normal checks as per above: - resistance on drain pump is 38ohms (pump specs are 15-60 ohms). - ran diagnostics and got code 8-2 "drain motor electrical problem". - fuse service check and fuse resistance checks of fuse F601 and F600 are good. also did direct multimeter test of fuses on the circuit board and have no resistance (0 ohms), so all good. - checked wiring harness from control panel to motor. one wire has continuity and the other does not. I am uncertain if this could be the problem. - checked wiring harness at drain motor for voltage during forced drain cycle, 22-25volts. - door switch, float switch, fill valve all work no issues - tried to check drain strip circuit but technician manual wasn't specific in resistance values and what specific pinouts to test. my questions: 1) what is the normal operating voltage input to the drain motor? 2) if voltage is higher than 22-25 volts then what could be causing the low input voltage to the drain motor? control board or broken wire on wiring harness? 2) what are the normal resistance parameters when testing drain strip circuit at the control board? what specific pinouts are tested for the drain strip circuit? 3) what am I missing with diagnosing this draining issue? is this the control board vs wiring harness vs something else? thanks Luk
1 Answer Luk, The normal operating voltage input to the drain pump would be 120 Vac. Since you are only getting 22-25 V then check at the control board on the P5 connector from pin 3 to pin 4. Should be 2 brown wires. If there is proper power coming off the board when it is supposed to drain then the issue would be with the wiring. If there is no power or low power supply then replace the control board. Read More...
Patrick January 05, 2022 for Model Number KDTE204ESS4 How do you remove the drain motor, in this unit?
1 Answer Patrick, at the top of the drain pump W10876537 rim will be a push tab. It will need to be pushed in toward the drain pump to disengage the locking tab, allowing the pump to be rotated and then pulled away from the sump assembly. Read More...
Lis July 17, 2021 for Model Number WDT720PADM2 My dishwasher will not drain. Is it the drain pump motor?
1 Answer Lis, There is a drain pump motor which is part number W10876537. Test the pump for 120 Vac getting to it when the unit is set to drain and if there is not then the control board will be the issue and if there is proper power then the issue will be the drain pump. Read More...
