I have removed the old adjuster and trying to put on the replacement part. However, it does not seem to close all the way so that the screws will reach the inside plastic part. I tried to find instructions on how to replace the part to see if I am doing anything incorrectly but to no avail. Are there instructions available or can you help me? Also there is a plastic part between the adjuster and the end of the rack that screwed into the old adjuster but there is not one on the other side.Is the part needed? Thank you Mike Levin

The parts catalog says it is simple. There are allihn screws on the side but they are star-like and a regular allihn wrench doesn't work. Is a special tool needed to install the adjuster?
