Hello Jeffrey, If the dryer rack is installed properly, it should not contact the door of the dryer. If it is, it is either not sitting properly in the rear of the dryer compartment or the part could be malformed. If it appears to be malformed, you should call us at 1-877-477-7278 with the units' model and serial number and we can ship out another at no cost to you under the manufacturers' part warranty. You will need to hold that part for 30 days in case the manufacturer requests it back. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
