Jennifer May 29, 2018 for Model Number ED5VHEXTQ01 Took my drawers out to clean them and can't figure out how to get them back in? I can get the small top one and the lower one in but not the middle one that has shelf studs. I am very confused...they all came out fine???? Thank you
1 Answer Jennifer, You have to tilt the drawers to get them over the humps and then they will slide into place or the shelf is not sitting properly which would cause the drawer to not slide in properly. Read More...
Mark March 01, 2017 for Model Number ED20TKXDN01 Hi, Appliance Parts Pros!! Do you know how satisfactorily snapped refrigerator shelf support studs can be repaired with, for example, Loctite Epoxy Plastic Bonder? In that regard, can you please tell me what kind of plastic Part 4388538 refrigerator crisper drawer shelf support studs are made of? Bye, Mark
1 Answer Hello Mark. When the supports 4388538 break it is best to replace them and not glue them. We do not have any repairs listed for gluing them. As for the type of plastic used in the production of the supports, you will need to contact the manufacturer for that information. Read More...
Mark March 01, 2017 for Model Number ED20TKXDN01 Regarding Part 4388538 (AP3109339) (Refrigerator Shelf Stud Kit), which costs a whopping $15.85 (not including S&H) for two little mostly-plastic studs, why can't I buy just the stud that I need—the push-in stud? I don't need the screw-in stud. A very similar stud, Part WP2149540 (AP6005838), is sold singly for "only" $4.23 (not including S&H). Mark
1 Answer Mark, The stud that is needed is shorted than the stud that you are inquiring about. This would be the reason for the differences in parts. Read More...
Mark February 28, 2017 for Model Number ED20TKXDN01 We have an older Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer (as you know). I need to replace the front right refrigerator crisper drawer support stud (which is a push-and-turn stud). This stud is the one that is near to the hinge of the refrigerator door and opposite the refrigerator shelf stud with a rectangular solid plastic block. Evidently, I need to buy Whirlpool Part Number AP3109339 (which is also known as Whirlpool Part Number 4388538), which is really two parts—a push-and-turn stud and a screw-in stud. Unfortunately, I don't need the screw-in stud. Can you please tell me how Whirlpool Part Number AP6005838 (which is also known as Whirlpool Part Number WP2149540) differs from the push-and-turn-stud of Whirlpool Part Number AP3109339 (which is also known as Whirlpool Part Number 4388538)? Aren't they the same thing? Regarding "Ask Your Question", I greatly appreciate your respect for your customers' privacy. You all can't be all bad!
1 Answer Mark, The difference between these 2 push in type parts is that the WP2149540 is going to be a little longer and would not work in place of the 4388538. Read More...

Carmen November 17, 2015 for Model Number RS22BRXDW00 I am looking for a replacement bracket for the drawer shelf to sit on in a Roper fridge. I have found the replacement part # AP3109339, Shelf Stud Kit. But the replacement parts are all round, whereas the one I need to replace is actually a horizontal rectangle. Will the round ones work with this fridge that was made in 1995?
John J. February 22, 2014 Is there only one kind of shelf stud for a 25 cu ft side by side Whirlpool refrigerator Model ED25DQ? I need a round peg stud for the lower side door and a different one for the shelving that broke off. It requires turning and locking in place. Thank you.
