This lint screen captures lint during each cycle to keep airflow steady and drying consistent. Replacing a torn or warped screen helps reduce long dry times, overheating shut-offs, and lint buildup in the vent path.

Install notes

  • Power off the dryer before reaching into the lint housing.
  • Vacuum and wipe the lint channel clean before installing the new screen.
  • Seat the screen fully; don’t operate the dryer without it.
  • Clean the screen before every load; wash with mild soap if residue builds up.

Usage tip
If you use dryer sheets or liquid softener, rinse the screen periodically to remove film that can restrict airflow.

Hello Daniel. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly.
