This is a rubber gasket seal that fits between the outer tub halves or around the tub ring of a washing machine, creating a watertight seal to prevent leaks during the wash and spin cycles. It compresses between the tub components when they are clamped together. Replace this seal if you notice water leaking from around the outer tub, pooling under the washer, or if the seal appears cracked, hardened, or deformed.

Hello Sealmann. When you install the tub cover seal 211232 the groove in the seal should face UP(so you can see it) then install the clamping ring. A quick note : make sure there is a 3/8 to 5/8 inch gap between the top of the spin tub and the bottom side of the tub cover, the tub can contact the bottom of the cover and not spin.

Hello. There are no spacers need when reinstalling the new seal and clamp. The clearance should be between 9/16 and 5/8 between the top of the spin basket and the under side of the tub cover. Hope this helps.
