Doc A February 17, 2016 for Model Number LT5000XSW2 Gear oil is leaking from the top of the gear case where the agitator shaft enters the case. I am replacing the clutch assembly and the motor coupler, which I figured would cure the problem of the washer draining and filling but not spinning. Turns out those parts actually look OK, and I wondered if the leaking seal -- if the oil got too low -- would prevent tub from spinning. So I need to know if this part -- AP3132857 -- is the right seal and if replacing it and replacing the oil would cure the problem, along with replacing the clutch assembly and motor coupler, even though they look OK now. 1 Answer Doc, The seal for the gearcase uppoer shaft seal where the shaft goes into the gearcase would be part number WP3349985. It is possible that if the gearcase gets low on oil then it would cause the unit to not engage for the spin but would be more likely a clutch issue. Read More...
Mike February 20, 2015 for Model Number WJRE5550K2WW My GE washer is leaking from underneath the drive pulley. I recently replaced the hub seal and the hub nut and it still leaks. All the hoses and pumps are not leaking. It appears to leak more when it's spinning.

Since this involves replacing the other parts in the basketdrive and getting it back together properly is imperative to normal operation, I would recommend to replace the basketdrive as an assembly W10820043. Janet June 01, 2012 for Model Number 110.23032101 Washer won't spin..on the last load I was able to do (towels), it went through entire cycle, and the water was drained, but the towels were sopping wet. I tried to run just the spin cycle, the motor was running, but when I lifted the lid, the motor stopped and I could tell that it hadn't been spinning. I've checked the motor coupler, and the drive block - they're fine. The clutch has oil in it, and there's a ring of oil around the inside of the cabinet about 6 inches from the floor. Can I replace the seal on top of the transmission with this part? Or do I need to replace the entire transmission?
