Mike Z. October 16, 2016 for Model Number MAV6457AWW Can not pull knob straight out on switch, 4 position pressure part wp22004188. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Mike, As per the Users' Guide for model MAV6457AWW, the timer knob can be pulled out for starting/stopping the machine but the water level switch cannot. Pulling on this knob will remove the knob if pulled hard enough. To reset the water level, turn the control to RESET and then back to the desired setting. Read More...

Tim April 23, 2014 for Model Number MAV6451AWW The washer runs through all of the cycles, yet leaves the clothes wet after the spin cycle. There is no water in the basin, but the clothes are very wet. I have checked the hoses to make sure there is no blockage. Any help would be appreciated.

Jose M. July 20, 2012 for Model Number mav6451awww My washing machine will not stop filling with water. Thought maybe it could be the water select lever. I took it apart and blew into it and the water stopped. Not sure what I did by checking that but it made me feel better. Dont want to buy the wrong part. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Jose, This is the test you need to perform. Start the unit and as it's filling, unplug the unit. If the water doesn't stop coming in, replace the water inlet valve W10821146 for series 12 and below, WP22004333 for series 19 and above. Let me explain the series. Look at the units' I.D. tag where you got the model number. Directly under the model number is the serial number. The first two digits of the serial number is the series number. In continuation of the test, if the unit stops filling when you pull the plug, check the pressure switch WP22004188. Read More...
