Victor F San Antonio , TX March 14, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Atlantis Washer MAVT634AWW Washer machine water dripping into tank when off and timer would stop on regular cycle after a wash and would not go any further to spin or rinse Appliance Parts Pros I've used in the past and will continue to use, now they have a video showing step by step how to change the part your going to purchase, video also explains what the part does and symptoms of bad existing parts like mine. Washer machine was dripping water into tank when not in use, it was the water inlet valve. I purchased on a Sunday and it arrived with our mailman on Wednesday. I watched the repair video one more time and changed it out. When you unhook hoses to remove inlet valve have a bucket nearby to place the hoses into so it wont drip to your floor it was difficult to place your adjustable pliers into the small slot area where hoses connect to the inlet valve so when it was time to reinstall I passed the hoses thru the slot then tightened onto inlet valve while holding in my hand then I screwed on the inlet valve to washer body from the inside as needed. The inlet valve is not marked hot or cold so take a picture with you cell phone prior to removing the old one if necessary to remind you which hose goes where, facing the washer machine the left side of the inlet valve is where the hot water hose should be connected. Take cell picture of wire hookups so you can place wires correctly on new part. Washer machine timer also had a problem where on the normal wash side it would stop after washing and would not move to its next cycle such as spin or rinse. The cycles only worked on the delicate side of the timer. Since I was going to work on it I decided to order the timer and again watched the video prior to installation however the video was slightly different from my timer, my timer had one screw holding part and next to the screw is barely visible a locking tab to lift up with your screwdriver allowing the timer to slide toward the center of the machine and out so you can change out. It was easy just remove timer knob and skirts then unscrew the back screw and lift up locking tab next to screw then slide to center to remove from the back no need to remove front paned where all the knobs are located. Also take cell pic so you can see where wires go back and how its mounted prior to removal. Washer working like new again and job was fairly easy. Cy E Los Angeles , CA December 07, 2018 Appliance: Maytag Atlantis Washer MAV7504EWW Leaking water inlet valve 1) Close hot/cold water supply spigots. 2) Using a thin screwdriver or putty knife, open the machine lid by popping the 2 latches in the front seam, about 3-inches in from the corners. 3) Detached water inlet valve from the wire harness and front/back covers. Total of 3 screws (nut driver) and one tab (gently pry up with a small screwdriver or similar). 4) With the valve free of the machine, note the position of each fill hose and detach the hoses (slip-joint pliers). 5) Attached fill hoses to the new valve and reassemble machine in reverse order. 6) Open water supply spigots and test machine for correct water inlet control and temperature.
