Strife January 06, 2014 for Model Number LTE6234DT3 Hi, the dryer unit of my washer/dryer combo stopped working after the door switch broke up. I had a technician come over to replace it but he also reported that the timer of the washer unit needed replacement because the door switch had "shorted". Is this possible? I questioned him since the washer was working fine and the faulty switch was part of the dryer system but he insisted that those parts were interconnected. Should I refuse this repair and complain to the service company? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Strife. Yes, if the washer is working, the timer is fine and the dryer door switch should not affect the washer timer. Read More...
Johnny J. April 07, 2013 for Model Number Whirlpool Over and under washer and dryer combo My Dryer switch has a single pole hookup. One on each side of the switch. This one shown has two on one side and one on the other, will it still work? My part # that has gone bad is P.N. 3391901. Model # of the unit: LTE6234AW1 Stock # LTE6234A Serial # ME1014325.
1 Answer Johnny, according to your model number the door switch WP3391902 is the correct manufacturer replacement and will work on your unit. You'll match the wiring as it is on your old switch to the new switch. Nothing will go to the extra terminal. Thanks. Read More...
