John D Burbank , CA February 24, 2015 Appliance: Model LT7100XV-W Dryer would not run interior light would not come on Determined it was a bad door switch. Used a clip lead and re-attached the control panel to finish drying clothes. Ordered new switch. Switch arrived. Unplugged washer/dryer. Removed the 3 screws again that hold the control panel in place, swung panel down again. Removed the 2 screws that held the bad door switch. Removed clip lead, transferred wires (quick connect terminals) to the new switch. Attached new switch with the two screws I had previously removed. With panel open i was also able to hold the washer timer shaft so I could remove the stub of the old knob and install a new one I had previously purchased. Swung panel back up in place and re-secured with the 3 screws on top. Plugged appliance back in. Voila! Working again. Read More...
