Jeff, the black wire that was at terminal 2 (or L1) will go to either of the L1 terminals, the orange/white wire ( or blue/white wire) originally on terminal 3 (or H1) will go to terminal H1a, the orange/black wire (or blue/black wire) originally on terminal 4 (or H2) will go to the terminal H1b, the violet wire originally on terminal 5 (or P) will go to terminal P, the orange (or blue) wire originally on terminal N (or L2b) will go to the terminal H2, and the red wire on the terminal N (or L2b) will go to the terminal L2. The H1a will have two terminals to the left of the terminal indicator, the H2 will have a terminal on each side of the corner next to the terminal indicator. The indicator L1 will have two terminals directly to the right of the indicator. Each terminal set is interconnected and can be used.

Whirlpool Fanatic, Here is the wiring instructions for this switch [AP3672660. The black wire from terminal 2 will connect to L1, the red wire on N will connect to L2, Orange/White wire on terminal 3 will connect to H1a, Orange/black wire on the Number 4 terminal will connect to H1b, Violet wire on number 5 terminal will connect to P, and there will be an orange wire on the N terminal will go to H2.

Tim, the black wire from the old switch at terminal 2 will go to L1 on the new switch The red wire at terminal N will move to L2. Then the wire at terminal 3 will move to H1a, terminal 4 to H1b, and terminal 5 to P.

Tom, it would be recommended to use the infinite switch 8203534 per manufacturer recommendations. In regards to matching up wires, the black wire at terminal 2 of the old switch will move to the L1 terminal on the new switch. The red wire at the N terminal on the old switch will go to L2 on the new switch. The violet wire at terminal 5 goes to the terminal P on the new switch. The blue/white wire at terminal 3 on the old switch will go to H1a on the new switch. The blue/black wire on terminal 4 of the old switch will go to the terminal H1b of the new switch. The blue wire at terminal N of the old switch will get placed at terminal M2 of the new switch.

Earl, the wiring will go as follows: black wire from old #2 (L1) terminal will go to terminal L1, the orange/white (or blue/white) wire from old terminal 3 (H1) will go to new terminal H1a, the orange/black (or blue/black) wire from old terminal 4 (H2) will go to H1b, the violet wire from old terminal 5 (P) will go to new terminal P, the orange wire (or blue) from old terminal N (L2b) will go to new terminal H2, and the red wire from the old terminal N (L2b) will go to terminal L2.

Brian, Here is how to wire the new switch, from the old terminal number 2 it will connect to the L1, the old terminal number 3 will connect to H1a, old terminal number 4 to H1b, old terminal number 5 connect to P, If there is a N or L2b which is orange or blue wire connect to H2 and a red wire that would Connect to L2.
