Carol T October 20, 2014 for Model Number LSB6200KQ1 I am replacing my lid switch and using your video. I have removed 2 screws from the back which seem to be in a different place than you are showing. Nothing moved and I am hesitate to start prying under the side pieces on the control panel. Help....How do I get to control panel removed on this particular model?
1 Answer Hello Carol. Your model uses the 2 screws in the back. Once removed, pull the control panel forward and flip it backwards on the unit. Read More...
Lynn September 24, 2014 for Model Number part # 3949237, 3949247. The part number for my lid switch assembly on the actual part is 3949237, but when I type that number in the part which comes up is 3949247. It says 247 is the part I need for my Roper but the picture of the part does not look the same as 237. Do you believe they are interchangeable? 237 and 247? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Lynn! Lid switch part number 3949247V is the manufactured replacement switch listed for 3949237. The part may differ in appearance but is a functional equivalent to the original. Thanks. Read More...

Marsha August 10, 2014 for Model Number etw4300100 I have estate washing machine type 848. Everything I have read is my lid switch is bad but on my washer I don't have a hole where something would push the lid switch down. Or is there any thing else that would cause the agitator not to work or drain? Also if it is the lid switch what would the part number be? Thanks in advance
1 Answer Hello Marsha. The lid switch WP8318084 is located inside the control panel. You need to check the lid switch on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
