Rich May 12, 2015 for Model Number LSQ9244EQ0 Washer filled and washed, but stopped before draining and rinsing. I have replaced the timer and lid switch and it still won't drain or rinse. Any suggestions? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Rich. You will need to check the lid strike WP358684 on the unit and see if it is broke and is keeping the washer from draining and spinning. Read More...
Dad March 22, 2015 for Model Number LSQ8243HQO whirlpool washer The dual speed motor does not spin on high normal spin setting but does work on all other low spin settings. The lid switch works if extended but not in high normal spin setting. Is the problem in the motor, lid switch, or capacitor on the motor?
1 Answer Hello Dad, This can be the speed switch WPW10168257, the timer, or the motor assembly. The lid switch or capacitor will not be the issue since the unit will spin at the lower speed. The harness should be checked also since many of these had issues with the wire ties that support the harness being tightened too tight on the assembly line. Over a period of time, the vibrations from normal operation will cause a harness issue. Testing the unit with a meter, the wiring diagram, and the time chart normally locates the issue. Read More...
Melinda March 20, 2015 for Model Number RAX4232KQ0 Washing machine fills with water and agitates. It doesn't want to drain. We replaced the direct drive washer pump in 2011 according to my order history with yall. Any suggestions is surely appreciated. Thanks !
1 Answer Hello Melinda. If it does not run to drain, you will need to check the lid switch. If it runs but does not drain, You will need to check the pump on the unit. Also, look at the motor coupling and the motor on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Jac December 22, 2014 for Model Number LSR8233EQ1 We usually use Normal Wash. It stops at rinse. We have to move the indicator manually to Spin. After spin it automatically stops. The problem is that the machine stops in between Rinse and Spin. Please tell me what to do and what spare parts I may need.
1 Answer Hello Jac, Check the screens in the hoses from the water supply faucet in the wall. If there are no stopped up screens, change the water inlet valve 285805 because the issue is most likely the cold water side of this valve. Read More...
Mskym December 18, 2014 for Model Number LSR5232LQ0 My machine will not spin or drain. I tried closing the lid and did not hear a click. I reached up under the lid and felt that the entire lid switch unit was loose. When i held it up with my hand and manually pushed the switch down it clicked and continued making a clicking noise but did not spin (the lid was open but i was depressing the switch with a paperclip). Does this mean the switch needs to be replaced? Should i just try tightening the unit first?
2 Answers Hello Mskym, The lid switch should be changed first since it is a necessary part of the circuit. If there is another problem after it is replaced, it can then be narrowed down. Most of the time the lid switch will correct the issue. Read More...
