Bob January 23, 2020 for Model Number WMH31017AW-4 Whirlpool microwave The stove top light won't turn off. Is there a switch I could replace ?
1 Answer Bob, the hood lamp not turning off is going to indicate that the main control W10810046 has a stuck relay. This can be tested by unplugging the microwave and testing the main control from the yellow wire at EP2 pin 3 to the brown wire at EP1 pin 4 for continuity. If there is continuity, the control has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Duncan November 17, 2018 for Model Number MMV6190DS1 Microwave works intermittently. When door is opened, the light doesn't always come on. When try to start microwave, message on control panel says door is not closed. We open and close the door several times and finally the light comes on and we're able to start the microwave. We think it is a door switch problem, but want to make sure we order the correct parts for our model.
1 Answer Duncan, For this issue the most likely cause would be a interlock that is faulty. Also you will want to check the door switches to make sure that they are good. You will need to test the switches for continuity. Read More...
