Leann June 10, 2017 for Model Number 110.26882503 What is the complete assembly with wiring harness that attaches to WP8318084 (lid switch)? I believe the switch is the problem according to earlier posts but want to replace wire harness as well. Thanks
Steve March 01, 2017 for Model Number Kenmore Elite : 11024962301 After watching the instructional video on how to remove the control panel I realized my particular Kenmore Elite model 11024962301 doesn't have the same two Philips screws to remove (at least that I can see) like the one in the video so I'm a bit perplexed how to remove my panel. Any thoughts before I order the lid switch that I need to replace?
1 Answer Steve, To remove your control panel you will want to use a putty knife and slide it under the corner of the front of the control panel on either side and push the spring clip and lift up. Read More...
Rome February 26, 2017 The lid switch on my washer burned 8318084 and the connector did too I found a switch but I cannot find a replacement connector do I have to buy the whole harness or how can I get a connector with the tails so I can splice it
1 Answer Rome, The plastic connector WP62889 is available, but it does not have "tails" to splice. You would need to repair the harness using wire cutters, and terminal pins for the wire ends( you could find the female terminals at the local Radio Shack, or local hardware store or electrical supply). The wiring harness is a very good option, and you may want to seriously consider that. Read More...
Bob October 24, 2016 for Model Number 11016964502 The clip on lid switch for my Kenmore Elite washer is broken but the switch works fine. Is it possible just to order the gray snap clip for the switch? Duck tape is holding it in now and working. Thanks,
Charles September 11, 2016 for Model Number GSW9800PW2 Hello I am looking for the wiring harness that plugs into the lid switch. I don't see it on the diagrams. The plastic end that plugs into the switch melted partially when the old switch failed. I can rig it but choose to splice in a new connector. Please advise. Thanks
1 Answer Charles, To get the connector that goes to the lid switch you would need to have the wire harness which is part number 3957358. Read More...
