This water level pressure switch senses the tub's water level and relays it to the washer's control. Replacing a failed switch restores proper filling and cycle progression while helping prevent overfilling, underfilling, or long-fill interruptions.

  • Monitors air pressure from the tub to determine water level
  • Signals the control/timer to stop filling and start the wash or spin
  • Helps prevent overfill conditions and incorrect water levels
  • Helps resolve symptoms like no fill/long fill, continuous filling, or cycles that won't advance
What's included: 1 water level pressure switch Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off water supply before servicing
  • Access the control/console area; note wire and hose positions for reassembly
  • Transfer the pressure hose and electrical connector to the new switch; ensure the hose is clear, undamaged, and fully seated
  • After installation, run a diagnostic or calibration procedure for your model

Hello Rob! The water level switch detects the amount of water that has entered into the machine. Do you have your appliance model number available? It is possible that the inlet hose or the inlet valve has gone out. Thanks!

Hello Glenn. It could be the water level switch. If it does not read correctly, it will cause the washer to overflow and will not agitate. You can test the switch across the ground and tan wire, when full, and see if the circuit is closed. You should read 120 volts from tan to ground. Hope this helps.
