Bob, If the unit is not pumping water out then test to see if the pump is getting 120 vac to it. If there is power to the pump but is not pumping water then look for restrictions in the hoses. If this checks ok then you may have received a bad pump.

John for Model Number wfw94hexw2

Whirlpool duet front load washer. Poor fabric cleaning performance due to very low water level during wash cycle. The edge of the water puddle at the bottom of the drum is about six inches away from the front of the drum. Fabric cleaning clearly improves by manually adding an extra gallon of water, which causes water puddle to reach the front of the drum. Various Internet reports claim water level should be one inch deep at the front of drum, or should be 1/2 inch below the top of a drum baffle that is positioned at 6 o'clock. Do you have any information showing how to measure for proper water level in the drum?

John, First thing, if you had an issue with the water level, there would be an error code in the display (F20, F27, F21, etc) You may want to remove the washer top, disconnect the air tube from the water level switch and blow into the end, and check for aany kinks or twists in the hose. Make sure the washer is level in both directions. The washer only uses 6 to 6.5 gallons of water per fill cycle. With the tub empty(no clothes) once you've checked and levelled the washer,if you start the washer the water level should be as you described , "approximately" 1/2 to 3/4 inch, below the top of the baffle. You'll find the tech data sheet attached to the back side of the lower access panel, and you can conduct the diagnostic error codes and verify, if there was or is an issue.
