Teunis O. April 01, 2011 for Model Number WED5300SQO Dryer was running through the off position. So I changed the timer. Now heater is coming on with door open when setting timer. Even with the door open heater is coming on. I disconnected the door switch and the same thing happens heater comes on with the door open.Thank you Teunis Oskam
1 Answer Hello Teunis. It sounds like the heater 279838 is grounded to the frame. Remove the heater and see if the coils are touching the metal housing. You will need also need to check and make sure you wired the timer correctly. Hope this helps. Read More...

Ron W March 10, 2011 for Model Number wed5300sq0 My dryer will run anywhere from 5 minutes to ten minutes and shuts off. After it sets and cools down it will start up, and do the same over again. It does heat well in the short period of time that it runs.
