John M. June 27, 2019 for Model Number Kenmore 106.70197000 I am replacing the defrost timer. The original was part number 2193084. Sears said it was replaced by part W10822278. The terminal connections on both parts are the same (White, Red, Orange, Pink). The connector plugs in perfect. The only difference is the new W10822278 has a black wire dangling from it. There is no obvious place where it goes. Do I just leave it dangling? Thank you
1 Answer Hello John, You will need to put the black jumper wire on terminal number 1 for the timer to advance properly. Read More...

Dmw June 16, 2019 for Model Number Sears Kenmore 63068 I believe it is the defroster timer that is making noise on my refrigerator. I pulled the defrost timer to look at it and it says Part No. 850694 or 999148. It has a 4 terminal connector and a separate green wire (assuming ground). Looking at your website, it appears to be part number AP5985208 for $19.04. It seems like it would bolt down the same and has 4 lugs. However, I do not see a green wire. Is this the correct part?
1 Answer Hello, no ground wire required for the plastic body defrost timer. The new unit wires up as follows: If you have black, pink, red, and orange wires, put the black jumper on the #2 terminal. If you have orange, pink, white, and red, put it over the #1 terminal. Hope this helps! Read More...
