For Whirlpool Refrigerator Defrost Timer (Part Number: OEM17955633)

Gregory for Model Number BZ22QW, MFG # P1153001WW

Replacing the defroster timer on my Amana BZ22QW, P11543001WW, and received from the appliance parts store a Paragon UX–2001–00 Cust P/N 483212 defeated time with a flying black lead that the original part does not have on it. In reading the blog, it looks like that flying black lead could either be attached to terminal one or two, depending on the refrigerator. Most of the refrigerators in the blog are whirlpool, but mine is an Amana. Where do I put the black lead?

1 Answer

Gregory, if there is a white wire going to the defrost timer, the black wire would go to terminal 1. If there is not a white wire, the black wire would go to terminal 2.
