Jason June 07, 2023 for Model Number NTW5245TQ0 The timer dial does not advance through the cycle. I have to manually change the cycle. Would that be a bad timer?
Matthew June 07, 2023 for Model Number WTW5200SQ0 The unit will not drain and spin. I've checked the motor, lid switch and wiring and everything is good. Would the timer need to be replaced?
1 Answer Matthew, If the motor is not getting power during the drain and spin then yes the timer would be the issue. Read More...
Jon January 06, 2014 for Model Number WTW5200SQ0 I found my washer stopped at the spin cycle. It is filled with water and will not advance. I manually moved the dial to change the cycle, and the only thing I can get it to do is add more water. It will not spin or drain, no matter where I position the dial. However, I do hear a humming sound after the water is filled and at the start of the spin cycle like it is trying to do something. It is definitely a strong electronic hum, but I do not know enought to tell whether this is a motor hum or a noise from the pump? Can you please advise if this sounds like a timer, coupler, motor, brake, or pump issue?
1 Answer John, You will want to check the pump and see if it is locked up or has something in it to keep it from turning. If the pump does not turn freely then it sounds like a new pump would be needed. Read More...
Francisco S March 26, 2013 for Model Number WTW 5200 SQO My washer model wtw5200sqo, doesn't spin at all. I checked the lid shut of and it is ok, also the motor OHM readings are normal, the clutch assembly looks ok as well as the coupling. Could the failure be timer related. It is the only part that I haven't checked. Thanks.
1 Answer Francisco, If the unit motor is turning on for the spin then the most likely cause is the brake or clutch. You would also want to check the drain pump for clog and check the pressure hose for kinks and clogs. If the pressure switch does not reset then it would cause the unit to not spin. Read More...
