  • Coordinates and powers components through wash, rinse, and spin in the correct order and timing
  • Advances automatically through the selected cycle after you set the knob
  • Common symptoms of a failing timer: cycle won't advance or stops mid-cycle; timer knob doesn't move; intermittent agitation or spin

Hello johnnyrotten. With the timer knob pressed in, you will pull on the clip on the back of the timer with needle nose pliers and then pull the knob off the front of the timer as you pull the clip on the back.

Hello Johnny, Once you have the timer exposed, on the back of the timer, in the center there is a shaft. Pull the shaft out and the timer knob will come off.

Hello Rodney. Yes, you remove the knob the same way, but on this model, you remove the access panel screws and remove the panel. then remove all the screws securing the control panel to the cabinet and remove the control panel. Then you can remove the knob from the timer. Make sure the power is disconnected before doing this repair.

Hello HT! The part number is 3952379, our part number WP3952379. The A and C at the end of the part number does not make a difference. This shoudl work on your product if ordered per part number of the original timer or per the model number of your appliance. Thanks!
