Hello Hasan, Unplug the appliance before beginning the part replacement. Remove the rear console panel and pull the knob straight off. Remove the wires one at a time, placing them on the new timer on the terminal labeled the same as the terminal it was removed from as you go. Remove the two screws retaining the timer in position from inside the control panel and place them into the new timer. Reassemble in reverse order.

Jimmie for Model Number NED4700YQ1

When the element is on during the cycle, is it normal for the timer to have a small spot that glows ever so often? It's only when element is on. It does not do it in air dry, or when the element has cycled off during a heated cycle. You cannot even tell it's doing it unless lights are off and room is dark. No burned wires or terminals on or around timer. Not constant just ever so often and it's like a spark but its not, just a small glow. I have the buzzer turned off but you can hear it faintly during the whole cycle unless you hold the push to start switch down and hold it.

Hello Jimmie, This is a set of contacts that are sticking. That is why the buzzer is trying to sound and a slight glow is noticable. The timer WPW10436303 will have to be replaced to correct the issue.

Brad, The timer does have a contact in it for the heater to function but during the cycle the cycling thermostat is what cycles the unit on and off. The motor also has a switch on it that the power passes through in order to make the heat circuit. But again this would be a constant circuit while the unit is running and does not cycle off and on during the cycle.
