Paul May 08, 2013 for Model Number LAT9824AAE The machine does not agitate on the heavy wash cycle and on the permanent press cycle the wash cycle works but the spin cycle will not shut off. I believe the timer is bad PN 22001023 but I'm not positive. Do you think it's the timer? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Paul. If the unit works in some cycles, but not all cycles, you will need to order and replace the timer WP22001023 in the unit. Read More...
Jim July 23, 2012 for Model Number LAT9824AAE Maytag There is no power when knob is pulled out and there is 110V to timer tested. No cycle works at all. Does this sound like a timer problem?
1 Answer Hello Jim. Yes, if there is power to the timer, but none coming out when turned on, replace the timer. Make sure the fuse in the lid switch is not blown. If so, you need to replace the lid switch WP22001682, not the timer. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Paul June 16, 2012 for Model Number LAT9804AAE The washer works only in 'FINE CYCLE". All other cycles when turned to their wash cycle, they fill then the timer turns to the spin and rinse the washer works only during the "fine cycle". All others in their cycles, still fills then just sits(no agitation). When it reaches the spin and rinses it starts again like normal.
1 Answer Hi Paul. It sounds like its time to change the timer part # WP22001023. Has it been chattering or humming before this issue ? Thank you. Read More...
