The Dryer Timer is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. This part manages the duration of drying cycles. This part allows users to select the desired time for drying clothes, ensuring that garments are dried efficiently and with care. The timer controls various cycles and settings, including timed dry, cool down, and air fluff, making it an essential part of the dryer's functionality.

Causes of a bad timer include electrical failures within the timer mechanism, physical damage to the dial or internal components, or wear and tear from regular use.

Symptoms of a bad Dryer Timer include:

  • The dryer not starting or stopping at the correct times
  • Inability to advance through different drying cycles
  • Clothes not drying properly or cycles running too long or too short

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Tricia, Unfortunately, no we don't have a video, but it's not that difficult a project. Remove power to the dryer, you may want to turn off the gas supply as well. Remove the six(6) screws attaching the back panel cover to the console. Remove the timer knob, then remove the two bracket screws(inside the console) that secure the timer to the console assembly. Slide the timer out the back of the console, mark or label the wires as you disconnect them from the timer terminals. Reverse the procedure, restore power and gas to the machine and test the machine.
