Greg August 14, 2011 for Model Number RT18SKXRD02 My fridge and freezer are not cold ,will not make ice or freeze food. Refridgerator motor and fan seems to continuesley run. Is there any kind of tests to perform to sort out the problem whether its the thermostat,start device or even low on freon or something else? I"ve performed all the basic troubleshooting checks. 1 Answer Hi Greg. You need to look at the back wall of the freezer and you will see it frozen with frost. This will keep the compressor running in order to satisfy the cold temperature fresh food control. It cannot since the evaporator fan cannot circulate the frozen air because of the block of ice.
