Thomas L. June 06, 2013 for Model Number WGD6400SW1 My dryer was not heating well, checked the lint trap and exhaust, checked the thermal fuse, then put the dryer in diog. Mode. Got an f2, take that to mean f02, replaced the interface, and still get an f2. What is my next move? All of the lights work and machine beeps.
1 Answer Thomas, If after changing out the User interface the F2 error code continues to show up then you will want to check your wiring connections and if they are ok then replace the main control board. Read More...
Gerhardt January 25, 2012 for Model Number WED6400SW0 My dryer will not start. Power button is not lite but when pushed panel lights up. Unable to adjust time or temperature. I went through diagnostic test. When in test mode I pushed the end of cycle button the machine started. I also tried jumping thermal fuse. Which part do I need? Or what other tests should I perform ?
1 Answer Hi Gehardt. Remove power. Remove the lint screen and the screws recessed within. Un clip the top and lift up. Support it so it is safe. Use the tech. sheet supplied to place the unit in a diagnostic mode. At this point w/ no fault codes given it is hard to determine if it is a bad user interface board or a control board issue. Double check the wire connections in and out of the interface board and the control board part # WPW10111616. Let us know of the fault code and we can assist @ correct part #'s. It seems as if you are unable to set time or temperature then it is more of a user interface electronic control part # WP8563974. Thank You. -- Read More...
