This quality part is a user control and display board for dryers. This is a component that is located inside the dryer. The user control and display board offers a way to control the dryer cycle times and manage all the components of the dryer. It can also be used to choose the ideal temperature for the appliance during a cycle. If this component is no longer working correctly, the dryer may not turn on, could be cooler than expected, or may not turn off.If this part is damaged, it needs to be replaced. Before starting the process, make sure there is no power to the dryer. Move the dryer away from the wall to have access to the back. The cover should be removed by using a screwdriver on the screws that hold the cover to the frame. Slide the cover forward to lift it up. Next, the screws on the control board bracket can be removed. Tip the assembly into the dryer and press in the clips to take off the cables. Replace with the new part.The user control and display board is an authentic OEM replacement part that is sold as a single component. It is made to be a replacement part for Estate, Roper, KitchenAid, and Whirlpool dryers.

Hello Mike, if your unit is not recognizing when you try to use any of the other functions it could be the user interface WP8563974. Check the push in buttons on the control to make sure they are not damaged. Hope this helps!

Tyler, You will want to check the thermal fuse on the blower housing to make sure that it is not blow but if it is not then this will be a control board issue and will need part number WPW10111616.

Steve, If the plastic piece for the start button is broken then this would require the control board on the unit to be replaced. The gray plastic piece is not available separately.

Hello Amy, This part WP8563974 should only be clipped onto the control panel and there may be a couple of screws. If it has been glued, the control panel will most likely have to be replaced to correct the issue.
