Missy September 15, 2016 upper spray arm has a broken center floating snap in part that has 4 snaps two are missing . It can go up and down. Maytag dishwasher approx 25 to 30 years old
1 Answer Missy, Best guess is, you have the correct part 12001446 for the upper spray arm and retainer clip(you forgot to attach a model number). You may find it easier to "unscrew" the WP912680 Outlet from the upper wash arm water tube, install the wash arm and snap the new retainer into the outlet and install the whole assembly. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More...
Vin August 28, 2011 for Model Number Maytag 6000AWA If your replacing the Upper Spray Arm/Retainer Assy, Should Do you replace the whole assembly meaning The snap outlet part no. 912680 and the Retainer, Snap spray part number 912681 Thanks, Vin
1 Answer Vin, You only need the 12001446 it will consist of the spray arm and retainer(912681) It does make it easier to replace the assembly if you unscrew the Snap outlet, and remove the complete assembly, just be careful, don't loose the water tube outlet from the top of the tub. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
1 Answer Hello Benny! You will need to turn the upper washarm nut (snap outlet) counter clockwise to remove the assembly. Then you can pry the retainer out. Thanks. Read More...
